Brian’s fun and vibrant teaching style and love for the sound of the human voice and rhythms of the world will take you on an emotional and spiritual journey, whether you are a performer or an audience member. People attending his classes and events say they feel a sense of community, joy, spiritual connection, release and freedom.
Brian has a deep commitment to improving men’s wellbeing, and has been working alongside, and with the Mens Wellbeing Association for 25 years. He has helped thousands of men come together in harmony and unity, which for many is a life changing experience. He believes that developing men’s emotional and social intelligence benefits Australian culture and the wellbeing of all within it.
Brian’s musical expertise ranges from accomplished conductor and teacher and trainer of teachers to experienced vocalist, pianist, musical arranger and composer. Brian has spent much of his 25+ year musical career teaching, including lecturing at various universities and conducting numerous choirs and workshops, touring nationally and internationally, as a musician and a facilitator.
His vast knowledge of acappella singing has enabled him to develop an intricate understanding of the elements involved with singing many world music, African, gospel, jazz and contemporary styles, in harmony. He tours nationally and internationally, as a musician, performer, teacher and music facilitator.
Brian has a Bachelor of Arts (Contemporary Music) majoring in voice from Southern Cross University. He has also studied composition at the Queensland Conservatorium and has undertaken training in the Jo Estill vocal method (physiology, anatomy and vocal qualities) and NLP (neuro linguistic programming).
